BQFilter is our freeware file conversion utility. It will accept native Calculix, MS
Excel or CITE (.ebq) Bills of Quantity files as input and output in Excel, CITE
(.ebq) or native ConQuest (Estimating) format.
Note: The ConQuest output is compatible with
ConQuest version 6 and earlier. ConQuest version 7 and later uses a
different data structure so projects created by BQFilter for use with ConQuest
version 7 onward need to be converted before use using ConQuest's
easy to use conversion utility.
If you encounter problems in ConQuest having
converted to version 7, rebuild the project indices using ConQuest's wcheck (ISAM
checking) utility which is accessible from the main programs menu on machines
with ConQuest installed.
It is offered for download under a freeware licence to promote the use of
electronic Bills of Quantities.

document henceforth known as 'the Software')

Site contains certain downloadable software which does not require payment
of any license fee. The copyright owner and Licensor of the Software that
you download through this site is indicated in the accompanying read-me
file and in the area of this Web Site from which the Software is
downloaded. This Freeware License is a binding legal agreement between the
individual who downloads the Software ('You') and E-Quantities Ltd.. THIS
SOFTWARE IS COPYRIGHTED AND E-QUANTITIES LTD. CLAIMS ALL EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS

royalty or licensing fees shall be payable by you. Use beyond the scope of
this licence shall constitute copyright infringement.

7. This license shall be effective and bind you upon your

basis. No representations and warranties are made to you regarding any

10. This Licence Agreement shall be construed, interpreted and
governed by the laws of the County of West Yorkshire without regard to
conflicts of law provisions thereof. The exclusive forum for any disputes
arising out of or relating to this Licence Agreement shall be an
appropriate national/federal or state court sitting in the County of West
Yorkshire , United Kingdom. This Licence Agreement shall constitute the
entire Agreement between the parties hereto. Any waiver or modification of
this Licence Agreement shall only be effective if it is in writing and
signed by both parties hereto. If any part of this Licence Agreement is
found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the
remainder of this Licence Agreement shall be interpreted so as to
reasonably effect the intention of the parties.

11. E-Quantities Ltd.'s failure to enforce any rights hereunder or
its copyright in the Software shall not be construed as amending this
agreement or waiving any of E-Quantities Ltd.'s rights hereunder or under
any provision of United Kingdom law.

When you have read and understood the freeware licence terms please read on
to download BQFilter
Important Notes: To use any of the conversion routines in this
program which are TO or FROM Microsoft Excel format, you must have
Excel installed on your computer for the program to work since it (Excel) is
called remotely. Also a printer (local, network or other (eg. print to file))
must be installed otherwise the program may fail when formatting the output
document.
If you don't have a printer, add (say) a HP LaserJet even though there
isn't one physically attached to your computer. This will enable the "print
preview" option in Excel which would otherwise be unavailable.
Also SAVE (download) the file to your
computer and run from there. RIght click and select "Save Link As ..."
or "Save Target As ..."

Once the download is complete, right click the executable program
file BQFSetup.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
When you click on help within the program, BQFilter looks for the local helpfiles in a subdirectory (.../helpfile) of the
program installation directory. It will use them if available or switch to the
online help if not.
BQFilter has been extensively tested on Win9x/NT/2k/XP/Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10 and various
versions of Microsoft Excel (Excel 2000 up to Excel 2016). Only limited
functionality is available if you use a 64 bit version of Excel 2010 onwards.
FULL FUNCTIONALITY is available with ALL 32 bit VERSIONS of EXCEL. The program
will automatically detect which version of Excel (if any!) is installed and
notify you accordingly if functions are limited. Please email us at if

The help pages describe the
operation of BQFilter and some of the conventions which must be followed in
order for it to work correctly. It is important to familiarise yourself with
these conventions before you begin since input files which don't follow the
required conventions will output unexpected results.
